Necron Challenge Trickery (Wolfguard too?)

So, my unit of Lychguard assault your unit of whatever dudes with a character dude.

You think you're all clever and issue a Challenge that my Lord with Scythe and Scarabs has to accept (thus limiting the damage the Lychguard can do). But SURPRISE! I refuse the challenge with a crappy cryptek.

Battle Ensues.

i think hes just saying that challenges arnt character specific, so if he has two characters in the unit, he can decline with a secondary character and still gets to beat on your dudes with his scythe.

Angels can do that too

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesnt a challeng'ee who refuses the fight, unable to make any attacks that round, as he is too busy hiding from the challenger?

Did you mean heroic intervention mark? That's on a 4+, but then your lord can actually strike in combat.

Disregard what i said above, I don't think mark has read the wording correctly actually.

The book states that if you refuse a challenge, the challenging player gets to nominate a model that Could have accepted it, and that character cannot fight or lend his leadership to the unit for that combat.

I apparently suck :-(
