scout move

scout move

if a rhino has the scout universal rule. does that mean it can move 12 inches for the scout move. the rule states a scout unit can do a regular move for the scout move as long as it remains 12 inches away from an enemy model. or can the rhino only move 6 inches for its scout move.

They should be able to, bike w/ scout can tubroboost to get there invul in top of turn 1, so they should be fine. Dominions?

I was having a game the las friday, had a dominion squad in in a rhino, and my oponent questioned me on the rule. I just had to double check with someone. It just bothered me with how they wrote the rule "normal move" which could be interpruted as only combat speed for a vehicle.

I think it's fair to interpret "Normal Move" as a move that would be considered something you could do exactly the same as you might move in your own movement phase.

yea, its whatever the maximum move distance that model can go; baal predators in the blood angel codex have the same rule, and many who field a pair of the flamer-types will deploy as far up as they can, then scout move them up to 18" before the game starts so that they can move 6" and fire all 3 flamer weapons into infantry, as it's also a Fast-Type tank.
