Dec 10th 'cron stomp

Hey guys,

Anyone up for a 1000-1750 point league game 'cron stomp on the 10th, next Saturday? Anytime works for me. 11would be great, because we can secure a table :-)

I don't think the den opens that early. I'm okay with later in the afternoon, if that's okay with you. Say 3pm? Or 4?

Anyone up for an 11AM league game at the Den on Saturday? Bright and early 'cron stomp? I plan on playing a delightfully silly list... :-) Likely 40 warriors. It's terribad. Will be an easy win for someone... :-) 1500 pts?

I might even take destroyers without a rez orb!

How many points Dom? 1500? More? Less?

1500 is good i jest hop this time when i see you deploy i dont go back to useing guard taticis, thats wut did the frist time i play my tau

Dom.0, there's lots of great resources on Bell of Lost Souls and 3++ Is the New Black for Tau players regarding army design and tactics. Setting up your guys and shooting does not work in 5th edition. Tau must use movement blockers (Piranhas work really well for this) and units of Kroot to bubble wrap their forces and keep the enemy assault elements away. You have chosen foot IG and Tau as armies and these are two of the toughest armies to design and play. These armies have steep learning curves so do a little research and see what other successful players do to at least be competitive with these forces.

I'm a huge fan of having some devilfish for min-sized warrior squads and then having suits and 1 fun unit of Kroot do the work. Well, and a hammerhead.

@Mark and Dom.0 Most of the Tau builds I've seen will run 2 units of Kroot to give a couple layers of bubble wrap. There will be one devilfish, but only because your pathfinders are required to take one. Devilfish are really overcosted and don't bring much to the table. This is another army where you max HQ, elites, fast, and heavies and really skimp on troops. This army must remove enemies from objectives by shooting them off and it has the firepower to do it.

My Tau brain is still living in the 3rd edition.

Isn't Fish of Fury a thing though? A Fish with a 5pt disruption pod is kinda cool. Nice little scoring unit there. I guess it's pricy (what is that... 170? Loses to 5 necron warriors in a Night Scythe, that's for sure).

New Tau codex next year will be nice for them. Maybe the Space Dwarves will spruce the place up a bit.

After Dom works good for me. I'd suspect that'll be 3:30, 4 PM
