Converting Plasmaguns from a Bolter and Plasma Pistol
I've used this tutorial a couple times when i run out of plasmaguns for my guys. its easy and gives favorable results.
Tools Needed
-hobby knife
-a file
-super glue
Bitz Needed
-Bolter
-Plasma Pistol
1. Start by cutting the plasma pistol and bolter apart.
2. Sand the parts so they glue together flat. Those of you who are better at cutting stuff apart might not need this step.
3. Glue the parts together.
4. That's it. I still need to fill the gaps with some Liquid Green Stuff. Here is the plasma gun sitting above a plastic chaos plasma gun.

Looks really good!
But have you any ideas how to turn A+B into a meltagun?

using the same process, you have to buy the inferno pistol arms from the blood angel death company box set (which are not cheap on bitz sites btw; a pair like what come in the box run almost half the cost of the box itself!).
then, you cut the melta barrel off and attach it where the bolter barrel is, and optionally, shave the grip so it smooths up like the meltagun grip does.
if you want a cheap easy way, then buy some plasticard rods from Hobbyworld, and make melta barrels from those, either cutting little slits in the sides to represent the vents, or if you have a micron pen, you can just draw black lines after you paint the barrel your color choice, and glue that over the bolter barrel.

you could probaly use a pinnning drill to make a line of holes ,then clean it up with a file.
