HQ----
1. Lord with Scythe, Orb, Veil of Darkness = 210 (it's either this guy, or Destroyer Lord w\ Orb & Phase Shifter, I like Veil guy better)
HQ Total = 210

Elites----
1. 6x Flayed Ones = 108
2. 4x Pariahs = 144
Elites Total = 252

Troops----
1. 10x Necron Warriors = 180
2. 10x Necron Warriors = 180
3. 10x Necron Warriors = 180
Troops Total = 540

Heavy----
1. Monolith = 235

Fast Attack
1. 4x Destroyers = 200
2. 5x Scarabs = 60

Total = 1497

-------

The idea is to have the Lord hang out with the Flayed Ones with Pariah's as close by as possible. The Scarabs run interference for the warriors/destroyers/pariahs making sure they give someone a cover save (whilst turbo boosting around the board) and also tar-pit a unit, if they need too.

Hopefully, the Flayed Ones with my Lord leading them can get into close combat while my pariah's are within 12" (thus reducing LD down to 7 for the visage check).

Small Pariah unit also adds some nifty shooting to my list (8 S5 AP 4 24" range guass shots are nice, assuming the Pariah's don't need to run every turn, but they likely will often have to run).

Also, I want Pariah's to tie together my painting scheme, and I'll also be able to field a 2000pt Necron force without having to take a tonne of terrible stuff.

Oh, and Pariah's will punch a Grey Knight army in the face (reduces all your leadership down to 7 and force you to take a moral check every turn or run away... for *all* your squads, you psychic loving Grey Knights you!)

Looks alright to me. You've got a decent model count, and pariahs are cool. Just don't let anyone shoot them. Now do the 9 tomb spider army!

9 Tomb Spider army is semi-cool, The tomb spider has to maintain coherency with the scarabs, so you can just generate and endless free army (as cool as that would be :-) )

C'mon Mark, semi-cool is a bit of an understatement. You can conceivably create 216 wounds worth of free models in a game! How fun is that? The only downside would be no monolith, but the spiders are not prohibitively expensive. You could still have lots of other stuff. Think about it.... Oh, and answer my PM.

Other downside is phase-out. If you take 360pts of warriors, you phase out after 16 are killed (assuming a destroyer lord).

9xSpiders = 495pts

something like....

HQ
1. Destroyer Lord with Sycthe, Phase Shifter = 170

Heavy
1.,2., and 3. 3x Spiders @ 165 each = 495

Troops
1,2,3,4 10xWarriors @ 180 each = 720

720 + 495 + 170 = 1385

That gives a dude plenty of phase out and 115 points leftover. Drop some warriors and take a monolith, phase-out might be scary...

Then the prohibitive thing is.... buying Scarabs and Tomb Spiders! ($35 a pop... yeeouch)

Also, looking at a tomb spider brings back memories of matrix resurrection, which I've been trying to suppress for years!
