forums dead?

is anyone posting on here anymore?

it seems everyone just quit?

hopefully there still games going on at the den when i get back, just ordered some more minis and they should be getting about the same time i get home to saskatoon

Well, from what I understand, the fal/winter league dissapeared with it's leadership,
In its place, a planetary empires campaign started.

However the store will be starting a new league in January 2011 probably.

I myself have been mostly playing Warmachine.

I would be up for some games, as I am still some what new and do not know many people here on the forum yet. I think I need to dust off my models....lol

Its a pretty thankless job, with no pay and alot of hassle, so I can see why no one else is up for running it.

i would volunteer to do it but im still pretty new to 40k so i dont think i would be good for making any type of decisions with regards to rules.

It is understandable that one would not have much time for running a league. Life can be busy. If I had more time I would like to help out myself. But not knowing anyone in the league very well make that hard. I need to put a face to the names on here. I can not bmake it down to the den on wednesdays or thursdays.

Maybe I should try to get people down on a saturday. I would like to meet some of the people inolved.

well i'll be back in canada on the 30th of nov so i'll be able to play a couple of games with you since i have nothing going on when i get back till feb 9th or so, love being on leave!

but yea, i think i have some marines i can play till my tyranids are all put together and magnetized and painted, well at least primed

I would love to take on some nids. I have yet to play against them as all my gaming buddies are in Victoria.

never played a game with them yet, i just loved the idea of them when i was looking at armies, chaos daemons was appealing as well but bugs i thought were pretty sweet!

I got a Guard army sitting in pieces on my worktable, with only 1 squad and 1 Leman painted. Maybe I could just glue and prime some quickly and we could get a game going. I haven't shown my face in the Den yet, so it would probably be good if I did. Also, I still haven't played any games of 40k, so it would probably be better if it were a small battle. (it will still take the same amount of time as a big battle because of the rule checking )

If you wanna play bugs I could give a hand supplying a game.

Also if you want a teaching game I could give you a hand wampa, I've been 40k deprived in terms of games (but at least lots of painting time).

I think it might be good to get some of the newer people to the game into some low lvl point games. the rules can be confusing or even daunting to someone. Even vet players can make mistakes with the rules.

okay well its gonna take some time to get my army up to tabletop standard. Apart from that little problem anyone wanna set a date or something when a few of us can meet and put faces to names?

If there's enough people interested how about bringing 1000pts down to the den on Wednesday night, I'd like to meet some people and I can teach or help out with people who are new to the game, my name's Tom, I'm the dude running the planetary empires campaign.

Wed would be good, but I can not usually make it wed evenings as I am working. I might head down on Saturday as well.

and a point of note for new players with unpainted armies, don't sweat it. its nice to have a painted army but don't feel bad going with an unpainted army off the bat. the games about having fun and its not worth getting stressed over a gray army. I think it took me a year to paint my chaos stuff just because I couldn't decide how to paint them.

What time is this all going to go down? I'm down for Wed as long as it doesn't go too late. I've got a hockey game then, though it's really late so I don't think it will be a problem. As you can probably tell by my late posting I don't have a life so I'll have plebty of time to finish putting together my army.

Well I gotta be back in M'ville by 10 so if it takes more than 3 1/2 hours we would have to finish another time. Apart from that I'll be there

the den closes at 9 so i think you'll have lots of time.

I live in Warman, But I start work at 7pm. Which makes it difficult for me to be at the den on wednesdays. I am going to try to come down before work just to meet some people. I wish I had time for a game.

Well if earlier works I could do 4:30pm at the earliest... I wouldn't mind meeting some more people and getting games in.
