eldar questions

Post  Administratum on Mon Aug 23, 2010 3:37 am

Hey, i recently read a battle report where an eldar player had a warlock bodyguard unit and two of the warlocks had embolden. Is it common practice for people to use embolden on a squad more than once per turn. Im sure somewhere that it says you can only ever make one reroll. Or is it the case that a squad will have to use embolden more than once if it has to take multiple leadership tests?

Take two embolden because it is a cheap power. By taking it on multiple warlocks, you are effectively building redundancy into you warlock unit. Gives you a greater chance of not having to: a) place wounds on your enhance 'lock, and b) not having your only embolden 'lock killed off.

And Embolden lets you re-roll any failed leadership tests. Remember, Warlock powers are always available and do not require psychic tests to complete. They are more like special abilities. So if you fail your psychic test (which you never will, because you have Runes of Witnessing), you can re-roll it. If you take some casualties and need to make your LD10 check, you can re-roll it if you fail. Having multiple warlocks doesn't allow you to do this. A single one does. Having multiple warlocks that do is just safer, especially if you want you Council unit to be a bullet-soaking death-star.
