Mordheim warbands

I really want to try out Mordheim, whcih means I'll be in need of a warband. I kind of understand how building a warband works, but i'm not sure about this whole "official" and "unofficial" warband thing i've been reading about. a website i've been looking at says that GW made the unnofficial warbands, but didn't perfect them and make them official. Does that mean I can't use them at all, or just not at things like tournaments and such? I hope the people who play mordheim here know what I'm talking about, and i'm not getting all my information wrong.

I'm sure Ryan can answer you better, but it really depends on who you're playing with. There are alot of official warbands though, so if your looking to start for the first time, you have alot of choices right out of the box.

unnofficial are generally accepted. You run into issues with the expiremental ones.
