Dark Eldar and Grey Knights
It seems like the Dark Eldar and Grey Knights rumours are picking more steam. Over at Bell of Lost Souls, they do a bit more digging into the two possible codexes.
I could give up my whining for a Worldeaters book if the Grey Knights come out. Especially if it means they release the Stormraven at the same time.. I for one am hankering for a little Imperial play.. Ive been playing the Chaos (marines and daemons) for to long now..
Any other pumped Grey Knighters out there?

This guy.
Seriously, when I started playing marines, I initially tried with grey knights. I love them to bits, but they just lost so much. =.=

I'm starting to collect a little Daemon Hunters army
A long time ago I decided that if Id ever play marines I'd be Grey Knights or Black Templars, they just seem the most awesome loyalists to me

Re: Dark Eldar and Grey Knights
My win record with Grey Knights is purely related to my dice luck that day.
The only bad thing I find about the army is that it usually doesn't fit well for a close game. I either get destroyed horribly, or if my dice are lucky.. Ill mow through the opponent's army.
Most of the really good stuff out the book though are just irritating to opponents right now.. like the big inqusitor squad with mystics, the non insta-death slaying force weapon, etc.
I wonder if they'll move away from the allies rules if they get a redo. I can see it being good.. like when a codex is upgraded such as the guardsmen. WIth the guard book redone, the old daemonhunter army got a huge boost. On the other hand, you might need 2-3 books to get the full effect of the army.
I actually really enjoy the ally rules.. you can sure get some great combos..

Re: Dark Eldar and Grey Knights
Looking forward toa grey knights release, purely for the storm raven! If its comes out, ooooh I would be pumped!
Theres a big hint in the BA codex where its says the two chapters to use the new stormraven gunship are BA and GK. Also, the number of plastic kits fit. power armor gk, termi gk, and storm raven!

Re: Dark Eldar and Grey Knights
My problem with Daemonhunters is pretty much solely connected to 5th edition.
Everyone and their mother is mech in 5th, and Daemonhunters don't kill mech well, at least in my experience. They've got precious little melta, their devestator equivilent is painful, they've got one subpar dreadnought...
I'm sure against nids, daemons or pretty much any foot list I'd have a ton more fun with them.

All those Grey knights and terminators were handing me my daemon ass on sunday in apocalypse! s6? a force weapon that ignores EW?
I'm just hoping that all the new GK special powers aren't geared towards Daemon rules. I know I know, fluff wise it makes sense, but I don't think it is very fair for an army to be reaaally good against Daemons, but pretty good against others. Unless it givess ALL daemons without number. Then I'm cool with it.

Re: Dark Eldar and Grey Knights
Exactly.. I really hate the paper/rock/scissor thingy that the daemonhunters are.
They got a teeny tiny anti-tank boost with new guard platoons.. and by that I mean the ability to take some heavy weapons squads. But barring them, Inq/troopers with meltas and the landraiders... tanks are pretty to kill for those fellas.
I actually dread having to assault with regular grey Knights now. Yeah, most everyone is str 6 and Ws 5... but I always get my ass kicked. The Terminators are fine, but even then its still scary. At 45 points each, and 75 for one with a psycannon.. eek. You got to make sure you can kill what ever it is your charging fast.. its just to stressful keeping those expensive units alive.

Re: Dark Eldar and Grey Knights
I can't wait for a new DH codex! I have a pretty good win ratio with my GK's. But Rob is right, it is usually a very solid win with them. Or you get destroyed to a man! But such is the life of playing GK's! I won't stop I enjoy them too much.
That's probably why i have over 50 GKPA models and almost 30 terminators
When they come out in plastic there is going to be more added! Cause plastic makes everything better!

I was at the GW store in ottawa, and one of the local workers there that i got to be pretty good friends with was telling me that thier head office said to ship back all thier codex and models for the daemonhunters army. I can't remember if he said witch hunters as well....but def daemonhunters

Re: Dark Eldar and Grey Knights
I am interested in the Grey Knights as well....
I have always liked their fluff side (even more kick ass space marines), but was never impressed with their codex.
As well, I would really like the Stormraven to show up....as I am slowly starting to convert my vanilla marines over to BA's.

Re: Dark Eldar and Grey Knights
Hey,
I have a bunch of metal Grey Knight stuff. Maybe 10 or so terminators along with that captain dude and a bunch of power armour guys. Maybe I'll put something together in bartertown.
