2000pts Chaos

As usual I'm running out of steam with my orks and starting to get back into chaos.

HQ - 330pts
Khorne Terminator Lord, demon weapon - 155pts
Demon Prince, wings, MoT, Warptime, - 175pts

Elites - 645pts
3 x Terminator Champion, Pair of Lighting Claws, Land Raider, MoT - 405pts
3 x Terminator, 3xcombi melta, 1x chainfist - 120pts
3 x Terminator, 3xcombi melta, 1x chainfist - 120pts

Troops - 727pts
10 x Thousand Sons, Sorcerer w/ warptime, rhino, personal icon - 332pts
10 x Plague Marines, Champ w/ power weapon, 2x plasma guns, rhino, personal icon - 330pts
5 x Lesser Demons - 65pts

Elites
10 x Raptors, champ with lightning claws, 2x melta, MoT - 300pts

total 2002pts so I need to shave 2 pts and I'm looking to change some stuff, seems troops lacking. Only thing I'm trying to build the list around is my Demon Prince, Thousand Sons and Raptors (These raptors are unbelievably beautiful, I'll throw up some pictures after I ruin them with painting)

A few suggestions:

Khornate daemon weapons are terrible...you'll roll a 1 on one of the die more than you'd like;
Plague Marine champs need a Power Fist since they're I3;
Moar lesser demons!!!

To pay for this I'd recommend dropping one termicide squad for an Oblit, it can fufil a similar function or deploy and Lascannon someone in the face. I'd also trade the Lord's daemon weapon for a pair of Lightning Claws.

Really, to trim some points I would drop the Mark of Khorne from your Lord. If you go with no mark, the daemon weapon gives you +1 strength. Add to that that you can still reach 10 attacks on the charge, you still have a pretty fearsome character. Throw the remaining 30 points on some termies to make them champions. Ideally, 2 of the the Lightning Claw ones in the raider. The remaining couple points...give someone a melta bomb.

I'm thinking of dropping the 2 termicide squads completely and using 3 single units of oblits, that shaves 25 pts, then maybe dropping the lord or replacing him with kharn or using the extra 25pts to add a second prince, altho if I drop the lord completely and go with oblits, I could add in 15 more lessar demons.


@Reagan - Yeah sorry that squad in the raider is a squad of Terminator Champions with lightning claws, so they're already champs and have claws.

Tough call, I like the replacing him with kharn idea because my land raider is covered in khorne symbols, and it would give those champinators some anti dreadnought power that they lack, because at some point I'll have to play matt and he'll have 6 dreads and I'll be pissed off trying to krak grenade them.

get with the times ben, in 5th edition worshipping a god is alot less exclusive, you don't even have to swipe a membership card to get into a slaanesh rhino, they'll literally let any chaos worshipper in. desperate times indeed. I'm just taking a page from the abbadon playbook of committing mischief against the imperium (APOCMATI for short) and benifiting from all the gods... as some italian guy from family guy once said, "Everybody happy."
