Mike's dope 1000pt list

Hey,

So this is the 1000 pt list I've come up with:

Wolf Lord (265 pts)

Thoughts?

What guns are on the razorback? Why take the 5man suicide squad in a drop pod? is there really going to be a big high armor target for them to drop in and melta to earn their points back? since they'll be all alone for 2 turns before you can get something else up there for your opponent to sweat about. At this low points value I'd consider giving them a rhino and not sacrificing 1/3 of your scoring units on turn 1. Expecically when you have a wolf lord with T-Hammer(pants) and a TL-laz-nought.

I don't have a space wolves dex so I can't critique much more then that, I'm assuming the wolf guard are some kind of jump pack unit? or riding wolves maybe? and you'll put them with the lord?

I'd consider dropping the flamer from the dread if it cost 5 points, shave the combi melta from the wolf guard and give the dread missile launcher and las and sit him in the back and pretend he's a guardsman.

The Wolfguard detach and join the Grey Hunter squads. That way the Drop Pod squad has 2 melta weapons, the Razorback squad has 2 plasma weapons and the Rune Priests squad has a guy with a big whacking stick.

The Drop Pod squad isn't necessarily a suicide squad although it can be if needed. Lots of armies have a hard target that I'll need to bust up first thing (like a Big Mekk's personal ride). It also gives my opponent a choice of whether to shoot my advancing dread, rhino and razorback or deal with the boys in his backyard.

What psychic powers are you taking with your Rune Priest?

Lightning for sure because it's retarded, right? and what else?....

If you get unlucky and your uber character dies early you may have some trouble. But that guy is a machine. As you know I ran a Salamander dude like that back in 3rd and he won me a ton of games. He's tough to kill, and one would either have to put everything into killing him, and letting the rest of your army mess them up, or try to ignore him.

However, I would probably table this army in about 2 seconds.
