Forge World LORD OF CHANGE
It's about time this thing is released. It's bigger than other FW Great daemons.

My only question (and this can be translated into any model of that size), is how do you transport a beast like that. I would be afraid to break the damn thing, let alone use it in a game.

Having hauled around the FW khorne greater daemon a few times, it know it's not an easy task. The best way to do it is using magnets for the wings and other pieces... and pinning the shirt out of it so it doesn't break all the time. Even then breakage still happens.

Re: Forge World LORD OF CHANGE
yeah.. I would love to have this beast, but I have enough trouble getting all my huge daemons to the den already. I have the smallest FW GD, and she was troublesome, and as Chris said, magnets are your friend. But damn.... its so 'Purdy'.

Re: Forge World LORD OF CHANGE
I actually really dislike it. Especially compared to the FW Great unclean one, the Bloodthirster or the two lesser demons for those two gods they did. I hate the pose for the head, the wings, the gay stance. The only thing I like about this one are the satff and the hand with the summoned horrors in it. I don't know what I was hoping for, but this wasn't it. It just doesn't do it for me. The Slaanesh one doesn't either, but I am such a non fan of most Slaanesh stuff I was probably biased against it before it came out. I like the UltraForge "Vrock" much more, personally.

I like the Vrock, except for its silly perched pose. I think forgewolrd has been sticking to a fairly standard template for these beasts, making em bigger and more detailed, but staying on the beaten path. I don't mind too much, as the metal models are just not up to snuff.

I like both models equally! But I'd chose the ultraforge one 'cause it's cheaper and they're a Canadian company! (also for the silly pose!)

You know, the more I look at it, the more I agree with Rob and Scott (scottrob). The vrock is pretty sweet, isnt a bajillion dollars, and isnt a bajillion inches tall for transport hell. I also like the war daemon they put out, super possum!

Re: Forge World LORD OF CHANGE
Well, its big.. it sure has that going for it. One of the reason I havent brought out the FW guy for a bloodthirster in a standard game is for that reason.. hes so damn big. I could use him for a regular thirster.. but.. my regualr thirster barely even reaches his crotch. Would seem odd to bring him out and have him die to bolter fire after looking so cool.

Point taken.. second reason I haven taken him out.. hes still grey and missing a weapon.
However, the first person who gets to fightme in a control game will get to take him on as his actual model, An'gratth!
Now you guys are scared. I can see it. And who wouldnt be scarted of a 888 pioint Blooodthister.. except for that damn Eldar titan I can never kill.
Back to the model.. it really just seems like a larger version of the regular metal one. Of course much nicer.. and I do like the spell effect he has going.. but.. well, in the end.. I dislike the bird headed daemons period.. so I actually dislike both of the models.

Yes but the perched pose does allow for the model to be made playable on a 50mm or 60mm base for gaming. I think that's important too!
And you can go right to hell Greg! I'm just kidding. I'm just not sold at all on the pose for the model. It looks like something from 10-15 years ago with the goofy stance and the awfuly wierd neck thingy goin' on.

The crystal shard was a book by R.A. Salvatore. I think you mean the Dark Crystal. If you go over to your patents and clean out your =I=censor=I= you might just find a copy of one. It seems like anytime you need anything else hobby related, it can always be produced with a visit to the family vaults.
Re: Forge World LORD OF CHANGE
Yes! The Dark Crystal..my bad. Finding that would take some extra digging. My folks don't care (I least I think), they got that big house and just the two of em'. Perfect place for storage... Actually I think I still have a 3rd edition sisters of battle army somewhere over there.
