So there is an update on this movie. Dan Abnett has been named the screenwriter and Martyn Pick as movie director.

Looking pretty promising on the developement. And you know that the story is gonna be badass with Abnett writing it.

How do you measure success Ben? You understand it won't be a major motion picture right? It will likely be a straight to DVD release and I think as long as it's made well (Graphics, story ect.) then the people of the hobby will love and buy it. To me that's success.

I hope its live action. The live action cut scenes in the game "Final Liberation" looked pretty cool.

No way in hell it's live action. I think there was an animation studio attached already at the GD anouncement, but I might be wrong. I just can't see them getting the cash together for it. I'd rather a decent animated movie (Hopefully not that jap animation. Hate that country!) but I'd rather see that than a live action without a decent budget.

It is going to be animated, and it's being produced by "Codex Pictures", a London based animation company that's done a bunch of lego and bionicle movies... Their website is really basic, no real list of films, and no examples of their work. http://codexpictures.com/news.html

Has Abnett writing scripts before? Or Just novels?

I believe they are also aiming for a PG (maybe PG13) rating.

Found the facebook page off the movie site. There is an interview with Abnett that is kinda cool. Probably a good way to keep updated for those that use FB
