I believe Nobz are troops since you have a warboss as your hq choice

when you take a warboss, that lets your nobs become a troop, which means they can hold objectives. Another example is blial for deathwing allows terminators to be troops. Very Happy

Any nob can take a power claw.. it doesnt matter if you upgrade to a nob in a boyz squad, of you take a full nob squad.. they can buy them wherever they are.

I think it looks like a solid list though. very stragithforward. It might be nicer to get some more trukks when you get a chance, but Im guessing your making a list from what you got? If this is a wish list, another selection of nobs could be taken and used as troops because you have the second warboss.

A few suggestions from a very successful ork player, I'd drop one of the warbosses, keep one to have the nobz as troops, and use your extra points to put a nob into one of those boyz mobs and give him a power claw.
My reasoning for this is that warbosses aren't terribly good heroes for their points and really this one is just a heart beat to stick inside a power claw and attach to a boyz mob to give them some hitting power, might as well do that with a nob for 41pts instead of 90.

Using the remaining warboss to lead your other mob I would look to steal some points from elsewhere in the list by maybe dropping a deffcopta and adding another nob to that third mob of boyz and also giving him a power claw.
Again my reasoning for this is to give the boyz some real hitting strength, using the 20 boyz as a meat shield to cover that heartbeat in a power claw who is the real damage dealer in the army. Also while I really enjoy deffcopta's I find that in standard (non-apocalypse) games they are really expensive pts wise for what they do, don't get me wrong 5+ coptas are decent vehicle wreckers as far as ork shooting goes, and the twin linked rokkits is the way to go as far as wargear is concerned, I'm pumped to see someone else using these.

I think having 2 boss poles in the squad is a waste, drop that and add a Waaagh!!! banner instead, the increased WS to 5 on the nobz I have found worth every penny.
Fairly simple since you give one of the nobz with a power claw the bosspole and use the others as meat shields and give the other power claw to the guy with the waaagh!!! banner so that you're not going to need both boss poles, also nobz hitting on 3+ instead of 4+ against marine or equivalents is awesome.

Another thing would be to drop the Big Choppa off the biker nob and give him a power claw too.
A big choppa isn't terribly effective in my opinion, Str 7 on the charge instead of Str 9 and power weapon? orks have low initiative in general so you're either striking last or striking at the same time, so since I'm getting side tracked I'll just make this point, the claw makes this a good unit to hunt vehicles and dreadnaughts, the choppa makes them a little bit better then normal but doesn't quite make them power claw awesome.

I think my theme is fairly obvious, I love power claws, the more you have the better, just think that your guys are going to die left right and center, but each one dies so that a power claw can hit someone in the face, the more power claws hitting people in the face each turn the better your chances of winning, the more guys running with and taking wounds for the power claw the more turns the power claw will have on the table hitting people in the face, simple as that really.

I didn't work out the points but I think it's viable to do this with the points added and dropped by my suggestions, with more time I'd work it out for you to be sure but these are just some suggestions.

Also because it seems apparent that this is a collection of models that you have and not your wishlist I'd suggest a few things to add to your foot slogging wish list,

Mad Dok Grotsnik is a great hero, adds a power claw, makes a unit fearless and have feel no pain, draw backs are that the unit has to charge at the enemy always, but hey that's what orks are for.

Ghazkull thraka expensive but his waaagh!!! is an automatic 6" move and he's a great character stat wise.

A weird boy is a fun ork character, cheap HQ and attach him to a mob of boyz and have some fun, I don't find the warphead upgrade all that great, being able to reroll the power for 30pts in an effort to add some strategy to this master of chance seems like a waste, if you're trying to add strategy to your orks don't take a weird boy. In all seriousness though, all the powers are good, altho inconvieniant at times, and he has a very orky feel to play because of his pure randomness.

Good luck.

Ya the two nobz that have power claws are in 2 mobs 1 in each one.
Its just that i never new to count the nobz from the mobs with the boyz or the nobz so i put them with the nobz so two of the nobz 1 is in one mob with power claw and another with power claw.
I never knew..
sorry

The one criticism I would have for your list is the 5 Lootas. They, as with everything Orky, are a 'Go hard or go home' unit. What I mean by that is that either take a bunch, or don't bother.

I say this because even when you roll 3 for the shots, that means 15 of them are being put out. With a BS of 2, that is still only 5 shots hitting your average target (if you are lucky, and if your dice rolls follow statistical probability. Which they likely won't...). If you can't get more of them in, I would say just drop them until you can. 5 1wound t4 bodies with a 6+ armor save are not going to last long. 1 lucky missile template and they are toasted.

It would free up points for other fun orky toys.

Oh, and never bother with the Mek. His gun is nice, but you should hope to god you never have the unit close enough to anything for him to be able to shoot. It is a waste of points.

I agree with the loota's, take more or take something else. they are cool with rolling to see how many shots you get. if you get 10 then say you get 3 thats 30 shots!!!

Lootas are 15 pts each. Mobs can be 5-15 strong.

Wouldn't 18 shoota boyz and 2 big shoota boyz (for a total of 20 orks) come out to 130 pts and not 113?
